CasaCode LLC ("CasaCode," "we," "us") operates casacode.com. We are a Massachusetts limited liability company.
What this policy covers
This policy covers the casacode.com website and the ways you can reach us through it, and it covers our SMS assistant service in the section below.
It does not cover personal data we process for a client under a signed agreement. That is governed by the Master Services Agreement and its Data Processing Addendum, under which the client directs the processing and CasaCode processes on the client's instructions. If you work for a client and want to know how your company's data is handled, your company's agreement answers that, and this page does not.
What we collect
What you send us by email. If you write to us, we hold your message and your address in our mailbox. Our mail runs on Microsoft 365.
What you enter when you book a time. If you book a time with us, Microsoft Bookings collects the name, email address and answers you enter and stores them in CasaCode's Microsoft 365 account; we use them only to hold the meeting.
Ordinary request logs. Our host records the ordinary technical details of a web request — the IP address it came from, what was requested, when, and the browser's user-agent string — as every web server does. We use them to keep the site working and to understand abuse.
If you use our SMS assistant, we collect your phone number, the content of the messages you send it, and the delivery metadata the carrier generates, and we use them only to answer your commands and send you the service notifications described below.
Nothing else. This site runs no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no third-party embeds, and we set no cookies of our own. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to ask you to consent to.
Why we hold it
To reply to you, to prepare for and hold a conversation, to run the SMS assistant for the people on its list, and to keep the site working and secure. That is the whole list. We do not use it for advertising.
If you tell us how your work actually works
A conversation with us is mostly you describing how your desk really runs. We would rather be plain about what happens to that than hide it behind a sentence about responding to your inquiry.
What you tell us makes our map better. What we keep is the general shape — how commercial work tends to be organized, where handoffs tend to break — and that improves an artifact we publish and hand to the next person.
What we do not do: reuse your confidential information, your data, your specific workflows or your bespoke logic; or name you or your employer in anything public without your written permission.
Who sees it, and what we never share
Access is limited to CasaCode personnel who need it for the purposes above. Our website host, our email provider and our scheduling tool handle it as service providers in the course of running those services. We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or share it for anyone else's marketing.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
The categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; that information is not shared with any third parties.
How long we keep it
What you send us by email or enter when booking is kept as long as needed for the purposes above. Request logs are kept for the host's own window. We may keep something longer where the law requires it, or where we need it for a dispute, an audit, or security.
How it is protected
Traffic to this site is encrypted in transit. Access is least-privilege, with multi-factor authentication where it is available, and no credential is stored in source control.
We will not claim more than that. This is a static website. It holds no client operational data, and the way a client engagement is secured is described in that client's agreement, not here.

Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their information.
SMS / Text Messaging
CasaCode runs a small internal SMS assistant for its own household and business admin — a shared list, expense confirmations. It is not offered through this website and you cannot sign up for it here; a number is added by the account owner. The provisions below were reviewed for our A2P 10DLC campaign registration and are carried unchanged.
Our SMS service is available only to CasaCode members who have opted in. By opting in, you agree to receive automated replies to your commands and periodic service notifications.
No mobile information sharing: We do not share, sell, rent, or trade mobile phone numbers or SMS consent data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Message frequency: typically 1-5 messages per day per recipient. Frequency varies with usage.

Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest revision.
