about

From commercial asset management to building CasaCode.

Brandon Casamassima

I spent four years as a commercial analyst on Advanced Power's asset-management team. My work spanned unit bidding, outage planning, hedging and asset valuation, alongside regulatory analysis, EIA and FERC reporting, and reporting to equity owners and lenders.

That gave me broad exposure to asset management and a practical understanding of how its operational, environmental, commercial, financial and regulatory responsibilities connect.

I began building tools to automate recurring parts of my own work—bringing together inputs, updating models and preparing reports. One improvement led to another, and those tools gradually became a connected data system.

Along the way, I discovered that building those systems was the work I most wanted to pursue. I started taking on broader automation projects, and that experience became the foundation for CasaCode.

From one desk to a connected power business.

What started as automating reports became a bigger question: how large a power portfolio could a lean team of subject matter experts manage if AI removed the recurring bottlenecks and manual coordination that limit its capacity?

I am building CasaCode around that question. The ambition is an enterprise AI system that connects knowledge, expert judgment and execution across a power business—from HSE and operations to commercial management and finance. My starting point is the work I know firsthand: asset management and commercial services, from bidding and budgeting to valuation and owner reporting.

The aim is for a small, experienced team to oversee a much larger and more complex fleet. To allow them to make their work clear, connect information to the dependent decisions, and address recurring inefficiencies at their source. Build those improvements into the system so they carry forward as the business grows.

I am building this in the open.

I want to share the workflows, tools and lessons as I build, so the people doing this work can challenge my assumptions and help shape what comes next.

If CasaCode interests you, or you have feedback on what I am building, I would love to hear your thoughts.
